Marital status: Married with three children What can be done to improve Bali’s image?

There should be more unity among the people. Bad things will always happen, and by being united, we can be stronger in dealing with them.

Are you satisfied with the current level of security?

Not yet, because more and more migrants are coming into Bali nowadays and a lot of them come in without being checked at the entry points to Bali. The authorities should be doing proper security checks at all times, not just when there is some big issue.

Is the central government doing enough to improve Indonesia?

Indonesia needs a lot of improvement, and I think most people are unhappy with what the central government has been doing.

What are the challenges that lie ahead?

Corruption and high taxes. Taxes are too high now and the money is corrupted by the government. I have seen people sell their land because they have to pay a lot of taxes, and I wonder why the government doesn’t just lower taxes.

Where’s the hottest spot in Bali right now?

I don’t go around that much, but I like Tanah Lot Temple. It’s a great view and I also like to go there to pray.
