Dark Side: A Balinese practitioner of black magic lies as a corpse while a “spirit” in the form of a monkey dances over him, in this scene from the Calonarang Dance performed on Wednesday night and into the early hours of Thursday morning in the village of Tanjung Bungkak Kelod in Denpasar. The dance is considered sacred and was enacted in an attempt to banish any evil in the area after several people died in the village, local officials told The Bali Times.
