What’s the greatest lesson life has taught you?
To be good to other people.

Same: to be nice to the other human beings.
What advice would you give the younger generations?
Give love to each other.
Are you worried about dying?
Yes. I think it’s frightening, because you don’t exactly know what will happen.
When was the happiest time of your life?
When I gave birth to my two daughters.
And the worst?
What’s humanity all about?
About being kind to each other. Most people are not.
Why are there so many conflicts in the world?
Because of all the different beliefs, and also because a lot of people make money from war.
Is a peaceful world possible?
No. I would like to think it can happen, but money will prevent it from happening.
How old do you feel?
Is one lifetime enough?
For me, it is. But I do think there is something after death.
How has Bali changed over the years?
In three years, I haven’t seen any changes.
Has tourism been good for the island?
Very good, because Indonesians can get money from us.
What’s the major difference between the East and the West?
The way of life.
Have you ever doubted your religion?
I don’t have any religion, but I believe in my way.
What makes you so sure about that?
I don’t know. I just think there is something; that’s why I sometimes pray.
