Crosby, Stills & Nash to Tour
LOS ANGELES ~ Folk/rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash said this week they will celebrate 40 years of fame since they made it big in Woodstock with a tour starting in June in the US Midwest and continuing in Europe in July.
The composers and recorders of Suite: Judy blue eyes, Our House and Marrakesh Express said on their website the US leg of the tour will kick off in St. Louis, Missouri, with stops in Chicago, Boston and New York before it ends on June 14.
They will hit Europe on July 27 with tours of England, Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, and then finishing in Scotland on July 11.
According to local media, the group also plans a second tour of the United States in August and September.
CSN at one point were as popular as the Beatles in the United States with their unique brand of harmony and acoustic guitars that inspired rock groups from Yes to Simon & Garfunkel.
In 1969 in one of their first gigs, David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash – accompanied by their occasional fellow bandmate Neil Young – played before an estimated half million people at the Woodstock music festival in White Lake, New York.Filed under: Arts & Entertainment
