Sex Accusers Move to Close Bali Centre as Krishna Remains in Hospital
The Bali Times
Leading national spiritual activist Anand Krishna remained in a Jakarta hospital on Thursday as women who accuse him of sexual abuse pressed police to close his Bali meditation centre in Kuta.
One of the alleged victims, former student Tara Laksmi, said a closure was necessary so that there would not be further incidents.
“We want that the police close this place immediately and then there will be no more victims,” she told reporters.
Laksmi was accompanied by a former employee of Krishna’s centres in Bali and Jakarta, Sumidah, along with eight others who claim to have been abused.
Krishna collapsed following interrogation by police in Jakarta earlier this month and is receiving treatment for heart problems and hypertension.
He denies the allegations against him.
Meanwhile, in Bali, Krishna’s centre was continuing with scheduled activities on Thursday, including a seminar for youth empowerment attended by 200 students, his son Prashant Gangtani told The Bali Times.Filed under: Headlines
