Forecasts for week beginning September 25, 2010.
By Jonathan Cainer.
Jupiter has just come closer to the Earth than at any time in the past 47 years. Whilst that’s hardly going to make it glow like a space-craft, it explains why the planet of hope and justice now looks quite so bright each evening. Not far from Jupiter, there’s another planet, fainter and harder to see. You’ll need a telescope or binoculars to make Uranus visible, but the planet of innovation is worth looking out for. And there’s a special reward for insomniacs and early risers this week. Mercury, usually elusive, is clear in the east before sunrise.
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
If you haven’t got enough of something, it’s because you have got too much of something else. Our surpluses and our deficits are connected. The only trouble is, the links aren’t always obvious. It may, for example, be that you haven’t got enough money because you have got too much fear – but it may also be that you are poor because you have too much trust! It all takes a little thinking about. The reason I point this out, though, is because there’s now a chance to redress a balance. Think about what you want most. Now ask, “What prevents this?” As soon as you get your answer, you will start to make progress.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
What if you get what you want only to discover that you do not really want it? Would that not be a far greater disappointment than the frustration experienced in wanting it but being unable to have it? Perhaps you feel that is a discovery you would like to make for yourself. Perhaps you are happy to take your chances. Perhaps you cannot imagine how you could ever feel inclined to reject the thing you now so deeply desire. And perhaps you are right. But under the influence of a powerful sky, you are about to come much closer to the fulfilment of an old aspiration. Feel free to enjoy this and stop worrying.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
You are going to upset someone, no matter what you do. There is no easy answer, no one-size-fits-all solution. Your needs include a degree of harmony and happiness, but they also include a sense of self-respect – plus a clear plan for the future that you can work with and stick to. A constructive decision can and will be made. But no matter how constructive this decision is, something will still seem wrong about it. You are dealing with a difficult, delicate issue. You must be sensitive but you must also be sensible. You haven’t got time to wait for a miracle to happen naturally. So you will have to create your own.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
You feel as if everywhere you go you are being accompanied by two big, butch bodyguards. Mr Can’t and Ms Mustn’t. They are dressed all in black and are towering over you with their arms folded, reciting a long list of reasons to turn down invitations and pay penance for past transgression. The good news is, this week you get to give them the slip. You can leave them to lecture each other while you set about doing something much more enjoyable. A window of opportunity is opening up for you. You can just about squeeze yourself through it but there isn’t room to take your sense of guilt or negativity with you.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
Six and a half billion! Six and a half billion stomachs. Six and a half billion brains. Thirteen billion eyes. Thirteen billion ears. And, given that we all have opinions about almost every topic under the sun – and that those opinions all tend to be different – there must be zillions of trillions of ideas and attitudes. How then, in the midst of such diversity can there be one ultimate right – or wrong? Let’s leave that interesting and thought-provoking question for a moment while we focus on your forecast. This week, at least, there may be six and a half billion ways to look at what’s happening but only one viewpoint matters. Yours.
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
When we successfully find a way to compensate for a problem, we tend to feel exceptionally fond of our solution. We grow dependent on it. We may even get addicted to it. If someone comes into our world and tells us that we can no longer access this resource, we grow very anxious. Even when they explain with the next breath that we won’t need it any more because the original difficulty is also being taken away from us, we may continue to feel apprehensive. Don’t hang on now to something that it is perfectly safe to let go of. Life is moving on this week. It is time for you to allow yourself to move on too.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
Are you starting to feel a little insecure? Are the numbers failing to add up correctly? Does a particular person’s attitude make no sense to you? You may find, this week, that things become more confusing before they get any less mysterious or perplexing. That doesn’t mean, though, that they are actually getting any worse. On the contrary, an improvement is imminent. A hidden problem is being flushed out. A difficulty is being identified and attended to. Once you have gone a little further through a demanding yet delicate process you will start to feel much happier about your financial and emotional prospects.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
You may not be able to lift it, but you have still got the power to shift it. A situation may seem to be set in stone but no matter how heavy, hard or unchangeable certain circumstances may be, there really is a way to move everything on. You won’t necessarily, this week, be able to make things happen in exactly the way you envisage. You may have to seek assistance, or accept the kind of help you would usually prefer to reject… but as long as you are neither too proud or nor too pessimistic, you will find each day brings you nearer to a much-needed breakthrough. And that’s worth more than everything else put together!
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
If there is something you need to know, you will naturally find out all about it this week. If there isn’t, you will be mercifully protected from an avalanche of extraneous information. Or, at least you will as long as you can refrain from being too inquisitive. You have an important mission to carry out, a task to complete and a goal to focus on. You can be all too easily diverted and distracted from this by a series of intriguing and arresting developments. If they actually demand your attention, give it freely. If they merely request your interest, hold it back. You have a vital agenda of your own to protect and pursue.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
Do you have a licence for your smile? Can you produce a permit for your positivity? The Pleasure Police are on patrol for folk like you. Don’t you know that it is unacceptable to just feel good for no particular reason? Have you no respect for the tough situations that so many people face? What makes you think it’s OK for you to be happy when others are not? And where, come to that, is your own fear of imminent disaster? Confidence is often a precursor to disappointment. Or so some say. Watch for an unnecessary tendency to undermine, or let others undermine, your enthusiasm. You are entitled to expect a good week.
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
It’s one thing to juggle with bean bags, satsumas or even flaming batons. You need nerves of steel though, to use live hand grenades with the pins pulled out. Somehow, it feels as if you are now playing for high stakes. If things go wrong, they could go badly wrong. Yet what choice do you have? You are juggling because you have to. You had better, then, have faith in your own ability to keep several things in the air at once. It is a tricky balancing act but you are a clever Leo. If you do now, what you know you must do, all will work out as it needs to. A plan is only going to be difficult if you choose to see it as difficult.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
How much time have you got? All the time you need. How much time do you need? As much time as you’ve got! Once again, we find you under pressure. You have promises to keep, deadlines to meet, targets to reach and needs to fulfil. All of these, though, have more flexibility than you may think. Don’t rush, race or worry. More crucially, don’t let pride prevent you from negotiating a less exhausting schedule. No matter what seems to be fixed or immutable, you can adjust it – if only slightly. Adopt a relaxed attitude and you will be pleasantly surprised by the number of rules that then relax themselves to suit you.
