Forecasts for week beginning March 27, 2011.
By Jonathan Cainer
This week, the Jupiter Saturn opposition culminates, Venus forms a conjunction to Neptune, Mars edges towards conjunction with Uranus, Mercury turns retrograde. If you feel bewildered after reading all those technical statements, you’ve just about got the measure of how life will be feeling over the next few days Wherever misunderstanding can arise, it will. Wherever delay, confusion or uncertainty can be created, someone will create it. Wherever sudden changes can descend on well organised situations, they’ll descend. Yet despite the chaos and craziness, it will be a pleasing week for many of us.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
Imagine someone has given you a wonderful car. There is just one small problem. You have lost the key to the ignition. So you are going nowhere. Other people are not bothering to offer you a lift. They figure that you have your own vehicle, so you don’t need their help. You feel reluctant to ask them for it anyway. You ought to be able to travel under your own steam. But where IS that key? This week, you finally start to find what you have been searching for: a way to break a deadlock and make progress in an area of life where nothing has moved for too long.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
How worried do you need to be? As worried as you want to be. It is never easy for us to tell what constitutes an appropriate level of concern. We don’t want to appear careless or take an unnecessary risk, so we usually err on the side of safety and dwell on the drawbacks. Drawbacks being what they are, though, we get caught up in them. They drag us into the quicksand of anxiety and, even when we climb back out again, the grime of gloom clings to our clothing. This week, your outlook is excellent. The only thing you need to worry about… is a tendency to worry too much.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
Peace, love, harmony and understanding. That’s what the world needs, isn’t it? It may be what it needs but it’s clearly not what it fancies. It aspires to it much as a junk-food addict dreams of salads: “One day,” it says, “I’m going to have some. But, right now, just give me fries and a milkshake.” Thus, we all carry on arguing, bickering, scoring points and subjecting each other to harsh judgements. Apparently, we enjoy disagreement. It must make life interesting or we wouldn’t indulge in so much of it. This week, if you want a happy compromise, you can attain one.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
There are some who say that, ultimately, what we see, we see inwardly on the back of our retina. What we hear, we hear privately in our brains. What we feel, we feel deep in our hearts. It does not, therefore, much matter where we go or what we do – as long as we can adjust our psychological responses. There are others who argue that this is nonsense. Which, of course, it is! You are now instigating a series of very deliberate, very physical, very real changes for the better. You’re not just about to imagine a big improvement. You’re about to experience one!
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Vanilla. Chocolate. Strawberry. Are these the only flavours? Are there not a thousand other temptations for our taste buds? Why then, do so many of us stick to tried and tested options? What’s wrong with being a more adventurous? Some experiences take a bit of getting used to, but that only makes them all the more pleasurable in the long run. You are now dealing with something that looks as though it could pose a bit of a problem. You are certainly well out of the realm of the ordinary. Try learning to like whatever it is that’s now challenging you. It could yet become a source of satisfaction.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
Imagine you are at an airport where you have been waiting for a long-delayed plane. Not being the kind of person to let time pass idly by, you have bought a book, found a pen or sought some other way to keep yourself usefully occupied. Now you’re absorbed and, as an hour in the life of any Virgo is like a whole day for anyone else, you have changed, grown or moved on a little. Indeed, come to think of it, why DID you want to make that journey in the first place? You had better remember and decide if it is still relevant. For above all else now you need to be sincere and wholehearted.
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
The long-awaited opposition of Jupiter and Saturn has special significance for you because Saturn is in your sign. Somewhere in your world, there’s a battle. A power struggle. A stand-off between two forces. Somehow, you’re both a bystander and a participant. Don’t ask me how, I don’t know. I only know what the planets are telling me to say. You’re both at the heart of a drama and on the periphery of it. If you weren’t there, what would be happening? That’s the question you need to ask if you want to make sense of a mystery. Keep things simple wherever you can.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
I’d give up if I were you. I mean, what’s the point? Why bother? It’s probably all going to fizzle out in a fog of futility… or… Sorry, I can’t go on like this. I’m trying my best to be pessimistic because I can see that you are now wrestling with a deep doubt and a morose misgiving. I thought that perhaps, by echoing this sentiment, I might help you see how defeatist you are being. The trouble with negativity, though, is that it works rather like a vortex or a vacuum. If you summon it, even in jest, it can suck you a long way down. Watch for that this week. Keep the faith and the faith will keep you.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
The Jupiter Saturn opposition culminates this week, putting you under great psychological pressure. You’re up against something or someone oppressive. You face an enemy, a problem, a barrier… or some combination of all three. You’re going to be successful. Everything will work out well… but you need to be careful about the judgements you reach and the words you choose. Some statements may prove more powerful than you intend them to be. Be sure you know how something has really begun before you assume too much about how it is going to end.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
Guard now, against having your confidence eroded. Fed up though you may be about a tense disagreement, an insecure arrangement and/or a disturbing financial outlook, you have at least one factor that you feel sure of and safe with. This week, Jupiter and Saturn form an opposition, creating an intense cosmic climate that will require you to subject even that “sacred cow” to scrutiny. Would you like some good news now? The thing that you see as so strong, solid and “beyond question” is the reason why all else is uneasy. Re-adjust and everything will start to go delightfully well.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
Exasperated? Of course you are. Just look at what (and who) you’ve got to deal with. It’s enough to test anyone’s patience. Why are you in such a compromising position? Perhaps because you need to look more closely at your own reluctance to compromise. You have very high standards. You hate having to settle for anything less than the best. There is nothing wrong with this – apart from the fact that, sometimes, it prevents you from being realistic. Certain people won’t ever change. Certain situations will change, but not in a hurry. This week, make the most of whatever you can’t yet alter.
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
All jobs look difficult until you actually get round to doing them. All tasks seem daunting. All challenges appear intimidating. Sooner or later, we have to do what we do not really want to do. Once we can put it off no longer, we soon see that it wasn’t so tough. The bark was worse than the bite. The thought was more difficult than the deed. This week, well… I’m sure you know why I said all this. Still, though, I suspect, you are less than enthusiastic about the enormity of the task that lies before you. Jupiter’s opposition to Saturn insists that once you get a process rolling, it will roll all the way to success.
