Fengshui for Peaceful Mind and Concentration
By S.BS. Surendran
Feng shui is the ancient art of placement and design used to balance and enhance the energy flow in living environments. The Chinese have relied on feng shui for over 3,000 years to assure an abundance of wealth and love in their lives. By following some basic principles of feng shui, you may improve your productivity and career prospects as well as enhance your success, creativity, and wealth.
Lack of concentration and confused mind is not a very happy situation as you are unable to decide and this shows up in the quality of your work, decision making and leads to irritation, anger and behaving impulsively. The mind accumulates all that we see and do and more so the negative thoughts keep bothering making you more uneasy and slowly drain the energy out of your life and finally make you sick.
In order for energy to flow powerfully and for your space to support your mental and emotional well-being the clutter must be cleared. The key is not just eliminating clutter from your environment, but from your mind and heart too. Success depends on concentrated effort. ‘A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.’ So if you’ve been plagued by inconsistency lately concentration is probably what you’ve been lacking, then Fengshui for your mind is very essential.
Adapting Meditative techniques, serene color schemes, whiff of freshness in the air and pleasant sound are all the general tenets of Good fengshui to calm the mind and improve concentration. Many would find it difficult to adapt meditative techniques, yet one can achieve a lot through proper alignment of the living space and work space.
If you aspire to be better known in your profession, you need some sort of enhancement and its recommended that you activate your South sector as this governs your fame area. Or if you wish to sharpen your writing skills, then activate the Northeast which governs your knowledge and literary pursuits. Fresh flowers on the east side of your work desk will increase your yang energy but don’t let them restrict your sight or movement and as soon as they start to wilt and die clear them away and bring in fresh ones. Alternatively, a small plant in the southeast corner of your desk attracts prosperity, which can only be a good thing for your organization. If you wish to have indoor plants distributed across your home or office then Palms are particularly good because they spread out at the top and as such will spread out energy.
Feng shui philosophy strongly emphasizes on the fact that it one should always try to understand something before you reject it. Adapting Fengshui in our daily lives be at work or home creates the right feel and inner peace, after all Inner peace creates world peace and if you have a world of people who have inner peace than we have a peaceful world.
