Tri Hita Karana in Bali is Introduced to Foreigners

The foundation Tri Hita Karana (THK) Bali has pioneered the concept of a harmonious life socialization for harmony between human beings, the environment and the human race of the Almighty God.

“We started it by giving awards THK Tourism Awards and Accreditation for Colleges Hinduism Affairs,” said Chairman of the Foundation, I.G.N. Wisnu Wardana in Denpasar.

The award was given directly to the Rector of Gede Pudja Mataram, professor Dr. I Ketut Widnya along with 124 among hotels on the island that have implemented the concept of THK in each environment.

Professor Ketut Widnya is leading a college about nuanced Hindu organize neighborhood with the concept of THK. A total of 460 students in Indonesia are taking class to teach and learn the concept of THK.

Students mostly from Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, was partly derived from Banyuwangi, East Java, South Sulawesi and Bali.

With the concept of THK, it was able to grow together with their fellow students, to carry out the study.

Wisnu Wardana added, “it seeks to socialize the concept of THK in hotels, tourism facilities and schools.”

Socialization is done continuously since 2000, and now it is brought outside of Bali, targeting various regions in Indonesia starting from Lombak.

“In the future we hope more and more schools and colleges outside of Bali to take part in implementing the concept of THK.”

Head of Human Resource Development Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Prof. Dr. I Gede Pitana welcomed the breakthrough that is made by the Foundation THK in disseminating the concept of harmony.

These efforts not only reach Bali and elsewhere in Indonesia, but also need to be introduced to foreign countries. This is in accordance with Act 10 of 2009 on tourism, he said.
