Forecasts for week beginning Saturday, February 9, 2013.
By Jonathan Cainer
The Dark Of The Moon is traditionally a very mystical time when psychics often report stronger signals from the realms beyond. It also often turns out to be a good time for people who are sensitive to deep feelings in their hearts. Romantic impulses and emotional attractions tend to intensify under this influence. That’s encouraging, given that Valentine’s Day is coming up. So too is the fact that this weekend’s Dark Of The Moon precedes the New Moon that heralds the start of the Chinese New Year of the water snake. This is a wonderful time for starting anew!
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
If things never slowed down from time to time, we’d miss the excitement of watching them speed up. If pipes (and processes) never clogged up, we’d not realise how pleasing it is to see a fast throughput. There’s a reason why something in your life has become stuck or stale. It’s so you can now have the joy of breathing new life back into it. First, you’ve got to work out how you ended up where you didn’t want to be. Then, to your delight this Valentine’s week, you can start moving fast towards an overdue change.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
What would we all do without you? That’s a worrying notion. Slowly but surely, we have come to rely on you. We know that whatever happens, you will be there for us. So, if we make mistakes, we need not worry. If our judgement proves poor, we will escape the repercussions. If we get ourselves into trouble, you will get us out of it. It’s awfully good of you. Are you sure you don’t mind? Don’t you feel a teeny bit put upon? Remember that you do have the right, this Valentine’s week, to let someone clear up their own mess.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
State your preference. Announce your intention. And then? Just do all you can to attain your objective. You may not fully succeed. Mercury’s movements this week don’t assure you an ability to get exactly what you want, when and where you want it. But they do offer you the certainty that there is no harm in trying to reach the highest goal. You will learn something. Remember, this Valentine’s week, that the upshot of this educational process, could well prove the stepping-stone to a future that’s far happier in many ways.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
I know this is going to sound a bit odd coming from a fortune-teller but early information about what lies ahead is not always as useful as we imagine. When we’re too aware of what’s in store, we stop properly giving our energy to the present. We dwell on what may be coming up yet, unless there’s a definite step we can take to influence the outcome of a process, what’s the point in knowing? The future is ahead. By the time you get to it, you’ll be ready for it. For best results, this Valentine’s week, try to ‘live in the now’!
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Must life be an endless battle? Must every moment be tense and troublesome? Can’t there ever be ease and peace, comfort and security, respectful co-existence and joyous celebration? Well, of course there can. And sometimes, we go through a phase when life really does seem to be worth living, regardless of all that’s disappointing or aggravating. This Valentine’s week, Venus is passing through your opposite sign. That speaks of a better emotional balance in your personal life soon.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
Mars and Mercury both pass through your opposite sign this Valentine’s week. That suggests intense conversations, some of which are ‘informed’ by difficult memories. When we’re stirred up by a hurtful recollection, we tend to become defensive, keeping at bay some of the very support and understanding we most crave. Others are inclined to reach out to us till they sense that we may be more inclined to shut them out than let them in. But if you are now open to inspiring new changes in your life… they can occur!
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
Do you sometimes feel that the more you give, the more someone else seems to take? Does a relationship seem to involve a process of endless negotiation? Or does it even seem as if you are so isolated that there’s nothing to negotiate about? Valentine’s week doesn’t automatically guarantee a happy-ever-after but there are other signs in the sky that suggest you’ve got good things to look forward to. Ignore your own secret fear, of ‘winning the wrong battle’ and set out in search now, of the change you truly desire.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
You wish a sensitive situation made more sense, somehow. You’re willing to understand the circumstances, happy to make allowances for pressing problems, keen to do all you can to reduce tension and facilitate a sweeter, easier future. Yet the more you try to see another person’s point of view, the more confused you become. Is there something they aren’t telling you? Is there an issue you’re simply not able to see in the right light? This Valentine’s week brings insight, awareness and, from that, trust and fulfilment.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
Most people, even when they go to fancy-dress parties, find it hard to keep up a persona. Soon, they revert to the person they are in the ‘real world’. Yet our jobs and lifestyles are also masks! We do ourselves a great disservice when we judge each other by these… or by the social status we hold. If, this Valentine’s week, you focus less on who you feel you ought to be, or would like to become and more on who you truly are in your heart of hearts, all the right hearts will resonate with yours and all the right things will happen.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
If yesterday was the first day of the rest of your life, today must be the first day of the rest of the rest of your life. And tomorrow? Well, yes, you’ve guessed it. But Saturn, as it now starts to ‘stand still’ in the zodiac, really could be about to bring you a fresh start you never forget. No matter what’s tiring you, boring you, exhausting you or disempowering you, there’s a reason to feel hopeful about the future. This Valentine’s week, you’ll discover a lot more about what you have to be grateful for and why you need not worry.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
To open an enormous door, you only need a tiny key. To solve a baffling mystery, you only need a small clue. It currently seems as if something vast and daunting is preventing you from making progress. Yet all you really require is a little piece of information. A word or two from the right person. An idea from the right part of your own imagination. A seemingly trivial discovery is about to make a very big difference. Venus is in your sign. Prepare for a Valentine’s week that turns out far better than you expect it to.
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
Even jazz musicians rehearse some aspects of their spontaneity. They practise solos. They explore variations on themes. They build a platform of experience and ability before they depart from it on the spur of the moment. You’re dealing with a situation that you don’t feel fully at home with. The luxury of time and research is not available. But in the midst of all that’s unfamiliar, there’s one thing you know well. Use that as a basis and improvise on it this Valentine’s week. Your heart will yet lead you to the right choices.
