Miss Universe Greets Balinese People

Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo greeted Balinese people in her visit to a department store in Kuta, Badung regency, and Ubud, Gianyar regency.

The twenty years old woman who is from Rhode Island, United States of America, was accompanied by Putri Indonesia 2013 Whulandary Herman and Runner-Up II Putri Indonesia who is from Bali Cok Istri Krisnanda Widani.

From Kuta, Culpo headed to Ubud to officially open Sapulidi Resort vilaatPengosekanVillage in which she was welcomed by traditional music gong bale ganjur and Sekar Jagat dance.

She signed on a big rock, which becomes an inscription as a sign of the Villa opening.

On the big rock, Olivia also wrote “Terimakasih” and “Love”. The woman who was born on 8 May 1992 was more pleased when she saw a painting of her face by a local artist. “The painting is really beautiful, it just looks like me,” Olivia said while taking shots of the painting with her phone.

After having break and enjoying the view of the Villa, Olivia had a time to enjoy the unique Bali spa.

She was in the spa for more than one hour, then she had a dinner treat. The owner of Sapulidi Resort, Bob Doank, said that the presence of Miss Universe was expected could increase positive image for tourism in Bali and ubud as an international tourist destination.

“The visit of Miss Universe 2012 is a significant moment for us to show the public that people in the Pengosekan village could increase Ubud image as an international tourist village,” he said.
