Bali Safari Held Free Medication for Elders
The management of tourism object “Bali Safari and Marine Park” held a free medication especially for elders in Gianyar Regency.
“The free check up and medication is held through cooperation with IDI (Indonesian Doctor Association) to improve the elders’ life quality,” said the general Manager of BSMP Hans Manansang.
The social service is the second time and it will be more happening with more specific check up.
The specific check up that will be held is visions or cataract check up for elders living close to BSMP area.
“The plan will be carried out immediately without waiting for a perfect date. Because sometimes the local people have their own activities related to religious ritual,” he said.The number of elders getting free medication this time is targeted about 600 people from Lebih, Mendahana and Seronggavillage.
The chief of Serongga village Anak Agung Bagus Udayana said that the check up and medication program really helps the elders around as many of them complain about their health due to weather changes.
“The main ill from elders in our region is visions limitation due to weather and cough and cold,” he said.
He is waiting for the next program from this action especially the one that has been planned related to visions check up.
Meanwhile, Dewa Ketut Raka, a participant of the action, said that he and the other elders from Serongga village are assisted by the check up program.
“I hope this action will be done routinely as it’s rarely done in my village,” he said.
