Bali is Ready to Apply Curriculum 2013
The government of Bali Province admitted that they are ready to apply curriculum 2013 starting from next July as the teachers have been given knowledge about the new curriculum.
“The regency/city government collaborates with Educational Quality Control Agency (LPMP) already prepared qualified teachers. Then they and LPMP will transfer the knowledge to other teachers in their region,” said the Head of Bali province Education, Youth, and Sports Department (Disdikpora) Anak Agung Ngurah Gede Sujaya in Denpasar.
The training for teachers is borne by the national budget (APBN). On the other hand, Sujaya said that he didn’t know the amount of the budget as the money allocation through APBN is not demonstrated.
“If we need any cost from Bali Province government to apply the curriculum, we are ready to allocate it in the budget change this year,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of Denpasar Disdikpora I Gusti Ngurah Eddy Mulya mentioned that he had socialized anything related to the implementation of curriculum 2013 through the technical application unit (UPT) in each districts and principals work force.
“Principally, each school in Denpasar are ready to apply curriculum 2013, we just wait for the curriculum features from central government,” he said.
According to him, the textbooks, curriculum tutors and budget are all covered by the national budget. “We don’t prepare the budget supporting the curriculum implementation yet because we wait for policy and regulation from the central government,” he said.
As curriculum 2013 is done gradually, he explained, for this year the new curriculum is effective for students in grade I, IV, VII, and X.
“For curriculum implementation in other grades, it will adjust to central government policy that might be applied starting next year,” said Eddy Mulya.Filed under: Headlines
