Forecasts for week beginning Saturday, May 25, 2013.

By Jonathan Cainer

Weeks that begin with a Full Moon don’t usually go on to bring more than a slow release of energy. Where else is there to go, after a grand finale or a spectacular crescendo… other than to a dignified silence? But this Full Moon is a little different… as is the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter that follows it. Here’s new hope, fresh enthusiasm and delayed justice arriving in the nick of time. Here’s adventure, discovery, even celebration. This is a week that, for everyone with a noble hope and an inspired vision, starts well and then gets better!

ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
We are all of us easily irritated. We may consider ourselves to be calm, measured and mellow. But sooner or later, someone or something will fill us with fury. Whenever passions run high, decisions are made without true regard to affordability or implication. You now have a chance to step back from a decision that was reached in a moment of madness. Don’t let pride or false fear stand in your way. An amazingly constructive healing process can soon begin. Don’t worry about what the future holds.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
The planet we live on spins like a top. It’s a roundabout ride or even – bearing in mind that, as the Earth spins, it travels round the sky – a fairground ‘waltzer’. A wheel within a wheel. No wonder we get dizzy sometimes. We can’t ‘stop the world’ but we can fix the motion sickness by finding the centre of our inner-world. Deep in your heart there is a source of tranquillity and stability. Draw a breath. Put down your anxiety and your fear for a moment. Become the fulcrum rather than the rotary blade this week.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
None of us wants to seem foolish. All of us, though, recognise that there’s something very wrong if we can’t ever allow ourselves to play the fool. You are currently conscious of your image. It is clear that certain people have a particular opinion of you and, for various reasons, you would like to ensure that you continue to project an air of gravitas and authority. How important is this really? Can’t you just relax and be yourself? This week, the more you try to keep up a pretence, the less love there will be in your world.

CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
Market research. That’s the thing. Ask people what they want. Analyse the answers. Find the gap in the market. Then, Bob’s your uncle. Success on a plate. Well, not quite. You see, people don’t always say what they mean. Sometimes, they say what they think you want to hear. Or they say what they think you think they think – which is not quite the same thing, but just as misleading. In love and in money now, what you need is honesty and clarity. That means using your eyes, not your ears this week!

LEO (July 24 – August 23)
It is hard to imagine a more simple invention than the wheel. Most of life’s great innovations tend to be similarly neat and sweet. There comes a glorious moment in the creative process when, having gone through a complex list of options, we finally realise that ‘all that’s needed is this, or that’. It is usually so obvious that, once we’ve seen it, we can’t imagine how we ever missed it. You’re looking for a solution this week. Bear the above in mind and then just wait. The penny will drop and you’ll soon smile.

VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
You can’t walk backwards into the future. Nor can you keep casting your eyes over your shoulder. This act will cause you to stumble or, worse, it will be taken (by whatever you are so keen to make sure is not following you into the future) as a sign that, somehow, ‘it is still wanted’. The tomorrow that you have long promised yourself will come one day is, in fact, here. Or at least, it is if you are prepared to treat it as such and to give it a chance to work its magic, unfettered by old expectations.

LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
If there are seven billion people on this planet, and they all have something to say. Imagine trying to keep track of all those conversations. Imagine, too, trying to decide how many of them had any real meaning. We spend a lot of time speaking to each other, and almost (though not quite) as much time listening. But true communication remains rare. How much of an understanding do you have with someone now? This week’s big opportunity is a chance to share something really meaningful.

SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
Why are you putting up with you-know-what? Is it truly crucial? Or have you been talked into making a move that you may long regret? These are the questions you are asking yourself now, expecting some rather sorry answers. Yet, though your concern is understandable, it is misplaced. You have not made some dreadful error. You have correctly appraised a set of confusing options. Your logic is sound, your choice is wise and your route from here to a happier future is assured. All you have to do is resolve not to worry.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
Mercury’s alignment to your ruler suggests a source of tension will soon die down. You feel you have been left with a mess to clear up. It may be a financial mess – or a cause of social or emotional confusion. Whatever it is, the worst is over. You don’t yet understand what has caused a problem. You thought you were in safe territory. But no territory is ever safe when it contains a loose cannon firing off missiles without due thought to the impact they will make. Don’t be overly cautious… but watch what you say… and when.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
You are kind, you are compassionate, you are always willing to take a long diversion from your path if it will help someone you care about. These are all qualities to be proud of. You are not, though, some kind of mythological martyr or psychological superhuman. There’s a point past which you should not go. And you always know when you have reached it. Instead of saying ‘OK, that’s enough’, though, you tend to feel bad about drawing the line. Don’t do that this week. Do your best and when you can do no more, do no more.

AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
Imagine you have been given a set of strange ingredients and challenged to make a meal out of them. But they just don’t go together. Even the world’s top chef would find it hard to turn these random items into something special. Now let us look at your personal recipe for happiness. It seems to be missing something. You feel confused. You could do something excellent, if only a couple of factors were different. Stop looking for the missing resource and start looking for a bright idea. You are about to find the perfect formula.

PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
Think of the countless billions that the governments of this world spend on education. Has the Creator of the universe no respect for our economy? Why not fix things so that babies arrive on earth fully informed: literate, numerate and ready-schooled in the disciplines they will require for their eventual career? Failing that, how about a microchip inserted in the brain soon after birth? It would save a fortune. Be glad of what you don’t know this week. It is about to lead you to a priceless discovery.
