Pastika-Sudikerta Won Regional Election


Bali Governor and Vice Governor candidate Made Mangku Pastika-Ketut Sudikerta won the regional election gaining the total of 1.063.734 votes (50,02 percent) or ahead 996 votes over their rival.

Bali Province General Election Commission (KPU) set the mate “Pasti-Kerta” as the election winner in an open plenary meeting of votes recapitulation held at the KPU office in Denpasar.

On the other hand, the pair Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga and Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan (PAS) gained 1.062.738 votes (49,98 percent).

Pasti-Kerta on Bali election was supported by eight political parties including Golkar, Demokrat, Hanura, Gerindra, Partai Nasional Benteng Kerakyatan (PNBK), Partai Karya Peduli Bangsa (PKPB), Partai Keadilan dan Persatuan Indonesia (PKPI), and Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN).

The votes obtained by Pasti-Kerta for each regency/ municipality in Bali is as follows, in Denpasar (104.429), Badung Regency (131.978), Tabanan (123.291), Jembrana (61.816), Buleleng (220.702), Bangli (64.838), Karangasem (159.050), Klungkung (70.490) and Gianyar (127.140).

The total of votes obtained by both candidates is 2.126.472. At the election this time there are 32.762 invalid votes. Meanwhile, the total of voters in the Bali election final list is 2.925.679.

The winning team and witnesses of Pasti-Kerta represented by Made Mudarta stated that they agree one hundred percent on the KPU Bali enactment.

“KPU has been working professionally, so does Panwaslu. We thank Polda and Brimob too,” said the Chief of DPD Bali of Democratic Party.

On the other hand, the other witness of “Pasti Kerta”, Gede Sumarjaya Linggih thanked all Balinese people and officers who had done any anticipative efforts.

“I agree on the stages that had been conducted. There are small explosions but that’s democracy,” he said.

Meanwhile, the witnesses of Anak Agung Ngurah Puspayoga-Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan represented by Arteria Dahlan and Made Supartha stated that they rejected the result of votes count recapitulation as they have seen difference of votes count in some regencies.

They mentioned that there are voters who had voted more than once and being replaced by someone else and some other objections.

The open plenary meeting was attended by the Head of KPU in each regency/ municipality, the Chief of Panwaslu Bali Made Wena, The Chief of Bali Province Customary Villages Grand Council (MUDP) Jero Gede Suwena Putus Upadesha, Kapolresta Denpasar Kombes Pol I Wayan Sunartha, Danrem 163 Wirasatya Kolonel Inf Anton Nugraha and witnesses from each candidate.
