Police Receive Report on Deceit from a New Zealand Resident

SINGARAJA

Buleleng Resort Police received a report from a New Zealand resident on deceit worth Rp290 millions related to land sale transaction in that region.

“The victim reported that he insist financial loss worth Rp290 millions,” said the Head of Public Relation Sub-Division Polres Buleleng Adjunct Commissioner Made Mustiada in Singaraja.

He explained that the deceit case to Hector James Haberfield (45) who stays at Banjar Dinas Dauh Margi. Pemaron Village, Buleleng District, happened on August 2012.

At that time the victim put his credence to Jero Made Darmini (35) and Dewa Putu Pater (35), both are residents of Pemaron Village, Buleleng district.

Firstly, the victim gave money Rp30 millions to Darmini and Pater as the agent of land purchase at Pemaron Village and Tukadmungga Village, Bileleng District.

Later, the victim recorded fifteen times of transfer, which is Rp260 millions in total to them from a Bank in New Zealand to purchase land in Buleleng.

After giving money of Rp 290 millions in total, the victim tried to contact Darmini for several times but he always failed. “Even until he report this case, the status of the land is still unclear,” said Made Mustiada.

According to him, the case of deceit and defalcation is a protrusive crime in the North regency of Bali, beside theft.
