Bali Again Named Best Travel Destination
Bali was again awarded best travel destination (Island Destination of the Year) at the 2013 China Travel & Meeting Industry Awards.
This award was received after Bali received the highest score from the judges panel which consisted of experts from the tourism industry in China. Furthermore, the results were supported by online voting done by Chinese citizens through the website of Tiongkok Travel Weekly magazine.
Bali won the vote beating out other candidates including Tahiti and Mauritius. At the direction of Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika through the Head of Public Relation Bureau Regional Secretary of Bali Province I Ketut Teneng on Friday, the award for Bali was received by an Indonesian Ambassador for China in Beijing on 4th September.
Governor MangkuPastika accepted the award and thanked the Chinese people for nominating the Island of Gods for this remarkable event.
Ketut Teneng said the Balinese people should be proud of this achievement. However, he reminded the Balinese people that the challenges that will be faced in the future are more complex, “Other travel destinations keep competing and improving to be the best. We can’t stay still.”
According to KetutTeneng, the award should be an incentive for Bali to keep improving and developing the quality of the tourism sector. Moreover, Bali should continue to maintain its safety, comfort, hospitality as well as preserving customs and culture so that it can continue to lead in international events.
