21 Balinese Young Artists Held Joint Exhibition

Around 21 Balinese artists held a joint exhibition with the theme of “Route” in Batuan Arts Museum, Gianyar regency in two weeks, November 9-22.

“Mostly, the artists are young, passionate and motivated to create artwork,” said the exhibition curator, I Made Susanta Dwitanaya in Denpasar, on Friday.

Those artists are I Komang Trisno Adi Wirawan, I Made Kartiyoga, I Kadek Darmanegara, I Gde Suryawan, I Wayan Sedanayasa, I Made Jendra, I Wayan Juni Antara and I Wayan Suarjaya.

Passion and creative spirit are the triggers inspiring arts activities, especially for dynamic and young characters.

It is a big potential that can be the base to compete creatively in visual arts. The dynamics and tumultuos development of contemporary arts in Indonesia including Bali.

I Made Susanta Dwitanaya added that they compete to be able to present on the contemporary arts space by putting forward ideas as well as each creative achievement in the visual arts.

The arts exhibition titled “Route” is one of many arts exhibitions in Bali that presentyouth as the main actor.

This exhibition is one of exhibitions include in Bali Act program, a program aiming to integrate exhibition as well as visual arts events happening in Bali in one form of publication.

“Route” is chosen as the exhibition curatorial frame as an effort to represent the creative process conducted by the young artists involved in the exhibition.

In the exhibition context, it is representing the effort of young artists to showcase their work in order to carry out their self-actualization process in visual arts, I Made Susanta Dwitanaya.
