Star Hotels Occupancy Increase 1.59 Percent


The occupancy rate of star hotels in Bali in average 62.53 percent during December 2013, or increase 1.59 percent from the previous month, which was only 60.94 percent.

“The occupancy rate in Bali at the end of the year is quite good, because it’s over 50 percent, so it could cover operational costs and salaries of employees,” said Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bali Panusunan Siregar in Denpasar on Sunday.

He said that Bali in December 2013 receiving as many as 299,013 tourists’ visits, an increase of 11.54 percent over the same month in 2012, or declines 2.69 percent compared to November 2013.

The foreign tourists in enjoying a holiday on the island mostly in the five-star hotels spread in six of the nine regencies / city in this area.

Panusunan Siregar said that the highest room occupancy rate (TPK) occurred in Tabanan Regency at 73.13 percent, rose from 68.07 percent in the previous month.
