Customary Figures Meet the Regent Talking about Traffic Jam in Ubud


A number of customary village figures met Gianyar Regent Anak Agung Gde Agung Bharata to discuss the traffic congestion problem in Ubud, on Tuesday.

The customary village figures who are members of Ubud Customary Village Communication Forum (FKDPU) asked the Regent of Gianyar to provide authority to overcome traffic congestion in one of the international tourist destinations in Bali.

“We have conducted field studies related to congestion on the road in front of Singakerta Market to Kangetan, Jalan Bisma and Jalan Nyuh Kuning. Besides, from Sambahan toward Petulu,” Chairman FKDPU Tjokorda Raka Kerthyasa said.

He hoped that the government along with the customary villages in Ubud District can issue a policy that can solve the traffic jam.

Meanwhile, Agung Bharata has promised to follow up FKPDU report related to structuring the flow of traffic in Ubud.

“National Unity, Politics and Public Protection Agency (Kesbangpolinmas) can also follow up FKDPU existence, since Ubud area is one of the Gianyar regency assets to attract tourists so it must be supported by adequate facilities,” he said.
