The Legian Beach Festival 2014 Will be Held on August

The Legian Beach Festival, is back – bigger and better – for its 8th successful year. The event be held from the 28-31 August 2014 along the beach front between Jl Padma and Jl Melasti, Legian. This year’s festival theme is ‘Explore Creativity’.

The Legian Beach Festival is an initiative that aims to foster community integration and creative development while celebrating the many unique aspects of Legian village. The Festival supports the Indonesian government’s programme of promoting Indonesia as a wonderful country in which to journey and explore. Visitors to the Festival can take advantage of the diverse range of talent and creativity on display from Bali and other regions of Indonesia.

The Legian Beach Festival always proves to be an unforgettable experience for locals and visitors alike and has something to offer everyone:

Stands include – exhibition of different Indonesian tourist destinations, cultures and activities, stands selling many kinds of handcrafts for which Bali is famous, jewellery, clothing and accessories, and of course a diverse range of foods both local and international.

On Stage there will be performances by Legian children’s gender (metallophone) players, Balinese cultural performances, Indonesian regional cultural performances, live performances of modern bands from Bali and beyond and the Selection of Miss Legian Beach Festival 2014.

The beach area will host: T-shirt & Hand Fan Painting Competitions, Food carving demonstrations, Traditional weaving demonstations, Photography exhibition, Wood carving, Activities for children include: Kite making & flying, Balinese Dancing Competition, Sand Sculpting, Fun Bike Ride and many other exciting activities and opportunities for prizes

The reception to the festival in its first year was beyond organisers’ expectations and has provided the basis for a bigger and better festival every year since. There are many ways to be part of this exciting social event which opens daily at 9 am and closes at 10 pm from 28-31 August 2014.
