Buleleng New Airport Planned will be Facilitated with Toll Road
Director of PT Marga Jaya, Anak Agung Putu Ngurah Wirawan, said that the new international airport in Buleleng will be facilitated with toll road.
“Construction of a new airport in Buleleng include toll road and will also connect the north and the south of Bali,” said Ngurah Wirawan in Denpasar, on Sunday.
He said that it was conveyed by the Head of Highway and Bypass Division, Ministry of Public Works, Ir. Riel J. Mantik, in the seminar of “Strategic Infrastructure Development” held in Puri Agung Singaraja, on Saturday.
The seminar was attended by the Head of Airport and Environment Division, Ministry of Transportation, Ir. Nafthan Syahroni, Head of the Department of Transportation of West Java Province, Dr. Dedi Taufik.
“To support the development of Buleleng Airport, the Ministry of Public Works has prepared a plan of the national road network system and toll road that connects southern and northern part of Bali, from Denpasar to Singaraja,” said Ngurah Wirawan who is also a heavy infrastructure expert.
While Riel Mantik said that he had conducted several studies. The national road network ranging from Jalan Gatot Subroto, Mengwi, Ubud, Bedugul, Kintamani, Tamblang, to Singaraja.
“There are some studies. But we admit the geometric is quite hard. The solution is tunnels can be made in hilly areas. Denpasar – Singaraja road network is later approximately along 80 kilometers can be reached in less than an hour. But this is all still be studied,” he said.
Denpasar – Singaraja road network to support the construction of a new airport in Buleleng, Mantik said, must be supported by the availability of land.
“The main obstacle is the land. The toll road from south to north could happen if there is an understanding from the land owner for the benefit of the wider community, so that tolls can be realized quickly. Do not let it be deterred land acquisition,” he said.Filed under: Headlines
