Election Not Yet Influence Bali Tourism

Department of Tourism recorded that ahead to Legislative Election until now it doesn’t influence tourism in Bali yet, as the security situation in Bali is categorized to be conducive.

“I hope the tourism sector is not affected by political situation ahead to the election,” said the Head of Department of Tourism of Bali Province, Ida Bagus Kade Subiksu, in Denpasar, on Saturday.

According to him, until now there is no report about reducing number of tourist arrivals and trip cancelation to Bali.

The local government, he said, inviting all components of community to create and maintain the conducive situation in Bali so it doesn’t influence the tourist visits.

Political parties and legislative candidates are also expected to maintain security and conductivity so that there is no friction leading to violence that could disturb the tourists’ comfort who are on vacation in Bali.

He expected that there will be special security pattern for tourists during the five-yearly democratic event considering Bali economy mostly depend on tourism.

“There should be a pattern arranging it so that tourists’ security in Bali on the Election Day could be insured,” he said.

Subiksu hoped that the process of five-yearly democracy could run peacefully and smoothly so that it could be some attraction for foreign tourists.
