“Bali as an international tourist destination airports should have the airport quality that aligns with airports in other countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Bangkok,” said Chairman Asita Bali, Ketut Ardana, when speaking at a tourism discussion,in Denpasar.

According to him, tourists who visit Ngurah Rai also often complain about the bad service at the airport to Asita Bali. In addition to direct experience of its own members who use the services at the airport.

“Take the example of immigration service, is often in a long queue. Supposedly, more counter provided so that it could be more quickly serving the passengers. Likewise, the security officer, we expect they are friendlier to the passengers,” he said.

Ardana also observed there is too much announcement over a loudspeaker at the airport that gives the impression of noisy place. If reflect to the international airports in other areas, they are more inclined to use running text.

“The cleanliness of toilets and parks at Ngurah Rai also needs to be improved as well as taxi drivers to be more disciplined. Many drivers hang around that is very disturbing the tourists’ comfort. There should only taxi counter in the airport and let passengers choose their own without being chased,” he said.

Ardana added, the number of illegal travel agency brochures on display in the airport area. This could decline the image of Bali tourism.

“We also regret the lack of socialization related to the increase of airport tax from April1st 2014. We did not question the increase, but there should be early socialization or the increase is already included in the ticket price,” said Ardana.

Ngurah Rai Airport is the worst new airport Ive ever been in.. Lacks signs and information… The terminal bathrooms are the dirtiest, smelliest bathrooms in any Asian airport Ive been to. People harassing you right out of the airport for transport…Long visa waits.. I was sooo disappointed my first departure and arrival in new airport.
