Bali Crowned as the Most Beautiful Island in the World

A travel magazine “Conde Nast Traveler Russia” that has introduced many destinations, again crowned Bali as the most beautiful island in the world. The award was held in Moscow at March 17th, 2014.

“The award for Bali as the most beautiful island to the world community in Moscow, certainly will bring impact to Indonesia tourism especially Bali in the future,” said a tourism observer, Dewa Nyoman Putra in Denpasar, on Friday.

Dewa Nyoman Putra said that the readers of the travel magazine judged that Bali is more dominant than other popular islands such as Phuket, Maldives, Mauritius and Greece, so it is expected that more Russian tourists will visiting Bali.

Besides getting an award for the most beautiful island, one of the hotels in Bali also becomes nominator of readers’ choice the best hotel for family, but it could not win the best hotel category yet.

Chosen as a nominator is already categorized as a good one, he said regarding the competition among tourist accommodation for international community in the tourism world is pretty tight, whether the facilities offered as well as its friendly services.

Previously, in 2012 Conde Nast Traveler Russia also included Bali in the nomination as the most beautiful island in the world. In 2013 and 2014, finally the travel magazine awarded as Bali as the most beautiful island in the world.

Russian tourists mostly come to Bali between December and January each year, while the other months are varied, but as a whole it continuously increases, this condition has happened since 2004, which reached 10,996 people.

The more Russian tourists visit to Bali, it must be balanced with increasing quality of services as they arrive at Ngurah Rai airport until they return to their country.

Putra said that Russia last year was one of the top ten countries contributing foreign tourists to Bali with 79,337 people in 2013, while in the first five months of 2014 there are 34,668 tourists from that country coming to Bali.

Tourists from Russia love nature beauty, arts and culture developed in this region, so they prefer accommodation in the area of Nusa Dua.

The annual arts and culture event held in Bali, which is happening now in Cultural Park becomes one of the attractions for foreign tourists including those from Russia to have holiday in Bali, Putra expected.
