Bali Customs and Excise seized New Type of Narcotics

Customs and Excise Office Ngurah Rai, Bali, successfully foiled new type of drug smuggling attempt that is “Methylene dioxy pyro valerone” (MDPV) through international cargo package at Ngurah Rai International Airport.

“The package of new types of narcotics through the cargo was done through putting it inside a Malaysian magazine,” said the Head Office of Customs and Excise and Ngurah Rai Bali, Budi at the International Arrivals Terminal International Airport Ngurah Rai, Kuta, Badung Regency, Tuesday.

He explained that the cargo package was received by the clerk at DHL Express courier Service Company on Wednesday (6/8) with the recipient’s initials AH.

After through inspection scanner, X-ray, officers found three plastic with a total weight of 66 grams of MDPV and one green envelope containing three plastic containing white powders was cocaine weighing six grams.

Earlier on Monday (4/8) officers also found a suspicious object in the shipment of goods in the same company with the initials of receiver, NS in which there was methamphetamine weighing 206 grams.
