Bali Awarded The Best Island in Asia
Bali again won the award as the best island in Asia in 2014 from international tourism magazine, Travel + Leisure.
Vice Governor of Bali, I Ketut Sudikerta said that the award as the form of international trust towards commitment of the Provincial Government of Bali with tourism communities in promoting tourism in Bali.
“We have to develop a good destination, fix existing destinations, creating and preserving the beauty of Balinese culture and the role of security,” he said in Denpasar on Tuesday.
Information from the pages of Travel + Leisure, the island ranks first as the best island in Asia and became the only island in Asia that entered the top 10 world’s best island. In the top 10 levels of the world, Bali was in the fifth position with the acquisition value of 86.82 after Santorini island in Greece, Maui and Kauai in Hawaii and the Big Island which are also in Hawaii, United States.
On that page is also mentioned that the acquisition value is obtained from the travel magazine readers through a questionnaire that was distributed began December 2, 2013 until March 31, 2014.
The assessment is based on a number of categories of which the natural scenery and beaches, tourist activities, food and restaurants, to the community.
The award was handed over to representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in New York, USA on July 24, 2014.
Bali occupied the first position repeatedly since 2009, 2010, and 2011 second order in 2012 and third in 2013.
Travel + Leisure also put Bali in the Hall of Fame as exist in the top 10 for six consecutive years.Filed under: Headlines
