Bali‘s Potential Attracts Chinese Tourists and Investors
Consulate General of China Hu Yinquan said, Bali’s potential in trade and tourism will attract Chinese people to visit the island.
“Bali has great potential in the fields of trade and tourism, but it needs to be promoted wider to China,” said Hu Yinquan, at a dinner with a group of businessmen from Meizhou of Guangdong Province, in Kuta, on Wednesday.
He said that, by 2014 tourists visit from China reached 600 thousand people, and it believes will still rising in the future.
“I believe our citizens who traveled to Indonesia, especially to Bali, will increase in line with the government’s continuous promotion. So I hope that Indonesian who traveled to China is also increase, because there are also many interesting attractions,” he said, accompanied by Head of Hakka associations of Bali Sutikno Wibowo.
Hu Yinquan also said the relationship between Indonesia and China has also been long established, thus the presence of representatives of China Republic (Bali Consulate General) will improve the friendship of the two countries.
Consul General Hu Yinquan further said, direct investment from China to Indonesia around 1.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 37 percent over the previous year.
According to him, after the state visit conducted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Joko Widodo, many agreements have been reached in the field of maritime economic development and infrastructure development.
“The official visit also have resulted a blue print for cooperation between the two countries,” he said.
