Energy of Your Furniture

Feng Shui is the art of creating a happy living environment within the home, one that ushers in good energy and feel which is not only beneficial but positive for the occupants.

The Ill effects of Feng Shui due to bad furniture’s and drapes in your home are quite predominant although it may not appear obvious. Creating the right energy in your home or office is important and choosing the right kind of Furniture and décor can make the space more vibrant.

When implemented precisely the home gets transformed and you could experience a feeling of serenity, peace, happiness ushering in good career prospects, relationship and wealth and simultaneously protecting the home from any kind of loss, sickness or misfortunes.
• Furniture: Old furniture have an imprint of the “past’ and from the Feng Shui perspective it has negative effects  especially when it has never been “re energized”  with positive chi In Most homes furniture’s are left un disturbed for many months and not moved hence the dirt gathers and the flow of energy becomes stagnant. Over a period of time the energy gets stale and generates sickness for the occupants.
• Library/book shelves: Homes which have large book cases or book shelves along the wall with stocks of many years of book collections build negative chi when not cleansed as it gathers dust building up sickness and afflictions. A musty feel is generated and causes sickness and generates allergens, the room itself smells musty and those using the space often are bound to fall ill. Moving the book cases at least every year, cleaning the shelves with “salt water” dissolves the negative chi accumulated and rejuvenates the space with freshness.
• Drapes: Window drapes are also prone to accumulation of negative energy over a period of time especially if large window drapes are never opened. This not only creates stagnation but breeds bacteria and attracts negativity. Cleaning up the windows and drapes and opening the drapes regularly ensures that there is no stagnation.
• Used or Antique furniture:- However unique or expensive the collection maybe buying used furniture or antique pieces needs to be pre-cleansed before bringing it into your home and life. They are said to carry the energy of the previous owner hence cleansing with salt water or using pine leaves incense to cleanse the energy is quite important. Sandal wood and incense along with salt cleansing help a lot. For wooden furniture where use of salt water may not be recommended using incense and sound like metal bells help in rejuvenating the chi and clearing the “predecessor chi”. This is very important especially if you plan to buy antique beds as it is said to carry all the imprints of the person who was using it including the sickness.

Apart from décor and furniture, one can observe the main door to ensure that the energy is not stagnating there. Keeping the entrance, main door and the furniture and furnishing clean ensures that good Fengshui energy is not only flowing through the main door but also empowers the furniture and supports the occupants.
