DENPASAR – Bali has been named the world’s best travel destination by TripAdvisor as part of the Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Destinations 2026, based on millions of reviews and ratings submitted by travelers worldwide.

In the latest ranking released by TripAdvisor, Bali secured the top position, surpassing several major global destinations including London, Dubai, Paris, and New York.

The Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best represent TripAdvisor’s highest honor, awarded annually to destinations that consistently receive exceptional reviews and ratings over a 12-month period. Fewer than one percent of destinations listed on the platform qualify for this category.

TripAdvisor stated that Bali was recognized for its combination of natural landscapes, cultural heritage, hospitality, and diverse travel experiences, ranging from beaches and temples to culinary tourism and wellness retreats.

In addition to topping the global destination list, Bali also ranked highly in several other categories, including honeymoon destinations, cultural destinations, and solo travel destinations.

The recognition further strengthens Bali’s position as a leading global tourism hub, following its recovery from the pandemic and ongoing efforts to promote sustainable and quality tourism.

Indonesian tourism authorities welcomed the award, viewing it as international validation of Bali’s appeal while emphasizing the need to balance visitor growth with cultural preservation and environmental sustainability.
