Special assistance promised by Governor I Made Mangku Pastika to a Klungkung school wrecked by a flood in September has still not been delivered and the school’s governing body wants to know why.
Pastika visited the school at Dawan on September 26, two days after the flood caused by heavy rain. He said the provincial government would ensure the school received replacement computer equipment essential for classes.
Nengah Arianta, demanded action. He said Governor Pastika has been “very clear” when viewing the flood damage in the area and at the school which had been worst hit.
Having no computers has hindered teachers and students, he said.
Klungkung regency has allocated special funds to replace computers at the school but can only finance 20. The school needs 50.
