Legian Beach Festival 2014 to be Enlivened by Participants from Beyond Bali


Legian Beach Festival (LBF) 2014 will display the arts and culture as well as a number of participants from the districts and provinces in Indonesia which will be held 28-31 August 2014.

According to the Chairman of the LBF Committee 2014, Nyoman Sarjana  in Kuta, Bali, on Tuesday, this activity is as an effort to promote the potential of local cultural arts and the arts of districts and provinces in Indonesia.

“This activity is a tourism promotion event, with the hope to keep improving foreign tourists visit to Bali,” he said.

He said that in each of these activities there is a potential digging of art creativity by community displayed in a cultural event.

“We show a variety of local arts, ranging from opening to closing of the event. Each day is also filled with art performance from participating districts and provinces in Indonesia,” he said.

Nyoman Sarjana further explained at LBF 2014 participation from outside of Bali, including the District of South Oku, South Sumatra, Lampung Disbud Metro City, Klaten (Central Java), Papua, West Java and Wakatobi (Southeast Sulawesi).

In addition, there is West Jakarta Administration of Culture, Jakarta, as well as modern art, including Caroline Band, Good Friend, and Soul Quest.

“There will be also competition of coloring and Balinese dance for children. The goal is to foster creativity and preservation of art and culture in the middle of the swift of Legian Village as a tourism destination,” he said.
