Man Made to Marry Cow

The village of Yeh Embang in Jembrana has forced a young man said to have had sex with a cow to marry the animal in a cleansing ritual ceremony.
The ritual took place last Friday in the sea at the beach where the incident is alleged to have taken place. The cow was then drowned.
The man, identified in local press reports only as GA, 18, wore traditional costume for the wedding ceremony, in which he stood one metre away from the animal. The cow was draped in white cloth.
GA bowed his head during the ritual. “Perhaps he’s ashamed of himself,” said a local man, Nyoman Listri.
The man’s family denied he had had sex with the cow. His mother he was not alone at the scene, but was with his brother, with whom he had been fishing.
“They took a rest,” she said. “His brother saw his brother there, doing nothing. He said that his brother was only sitting by the beach.”
But a witness, Gusti Ngurah Dinar, told a different story. He said that as he and his own brother passed by the beach they saw GA copulating with the cow.

Guess we will never know the truth — they drowned the cow. BTW, the ritual purification — was that to purify GA or the cow?
When GA is wooing a girl (human) someday, how does he answer, “Have you been married before?” “Yes, but it didn’t work out.”

I’ve known quite a few guys that were married to cows but this is far beyond anything I’m talking about. OMG, how could anyone even get aroused by an animal to have sex with it in the first place? Will wonders never cease? I mean, I mean… I don’t know. This is just one of those things that is so far from the left side that I can’t even rap my head around the story. I’m wondering if it’s even true. I mean, having sex with an animal? A cow? Gimmie a break! Somebody’s pulling my leg! LOL!!!

Yes, cows are holy animals in this area. The “cleansing” was not for the boy or the cow. It was for the town itself.
