The organizer committee of APEC Summit 2013 in Nusa Dua got confirmation from the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, to be present.

“Besides the President of USA, we also had confirmation from Rusian and China leaders. They’ve replied our invitation,” said Ahmed Kurnia as the national committee of APEC Summit in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency.

He is sure that soon those twenty-one members of APEC will be present a the event held in Bali.

Moreover, according to him, some of them will come earlier before the APEC Summit as those leaders are presenters on APEC CEO Summit 2013 held on 1-6 October 2013.

Meanwhile, the Commander of Udayana IX Major General TNI Wisnu Bawa Tenaya asked the community to participate in maintaining the security before the APEC Summit and the other international events.

“As this is an international issue, lets maintain it together. Not only the army and police, the traditional security (pecalang) at the villages and all Balinese community, Indonesian should maintain the security,” he said.

According to him, the officers can’t work alone without having the community participation to maintain security regarding it is closer to the date of some international events that will be held in Bali.

He expected that the security becomes the main priority because those international events venture the prestige of Indonesia.

“Safety is the first. If it is not safe, we can’t do anything. Lets keep it so everyone can feel it,” he said.
