What’s the greatest lesson life has taught you?
To be healthy. Because without our health we can’t really live.
What’s most important?
Happiness – it’s means everything.

What advice you would give the younger generations?
Stay away from evil and crime, and don’t break the law.

Are you worried about dying?
No.

When was the happiest time of your life?
Right now is the happiest time.

And the worst?
When I injured my feet. I still can’t walk properly.

What’s humanity all about?
Sharing with others and being happy.

Why are there so many conflicts in the world?
Because of people. If there were no people there would be no conflicts.

Is peaceful world possible?
I don’t think so. People are greedy, including you and I.

How old do you feel?
I feel 40 but my energy is not that of a 40-year-old.

Is one lifetime enough?
It’s enough, but the Hindu religion says there is not only one lifetime, as other religions believe. There is a circle of life. Reincarnations. I believe there is more than one life but at the same time I think one time is enough.

How has Bali changed?
There are many more tourists now, and the originality of Bali has disappeared a bit.

Has tourism been good for Bali?
Yes and no. In terms of income, yes, but the bad sides are that the young people dye their hair red and have tattoos like they do in the West.

What the major different between the East and the West?
Westerners are open and free – and even like to be naked on the beach. Balinese are not like that; they dress properly.

Have you ever doubted your religion?
Never.

What makes you so sure of it?
Any time I’ve been troubled, I’ve found peace in prayer.
