What’s the greatest lesson life has taught you?
Don’t sit around doing nothing. Make use of your time and do all you can.
What’s most important?
Your health, so that you can have a long life.
What advice would you give the younger generations?
Get on with each other and don’t fight. That way life is easier, as everyone supports each other and helps keep people away from things like drugs and alcohol.
Are you worried about dying?
I am, when my time is up, it’s up.
When was the happiest time of your life?
When my children were grown up and had jobs and could look after themselves.
And the worst?
When one of my sons died; he was only a child, but was always sick. He needed so much love and attention from my wife and I, and we willingly gave it. It hurts when I think of him; I can’t go near the cemetery where he’s buried. When he’s cremated, I’ll feel better.
What’s humanity all about?
About helping each other. We all need each other.
Why are there so many conflicts in the world?
Because people are not satisfied with what they have; they always want more.
Is a peaceful world impossible?
I think it’s up to the world leaders. They have the authority, and ability, to make this a peaceful world.
Are you disappointed with your life or happy at what’s happened?
It’s been enough for me. It’s been a simple life, and I’m happy.
How old do you feel?
I feel as old as my age now. With a lot of grandchildren its difficult to feel young.
Is there anything you still want to do?
Is one lifetime enough?
No. I want to be reborn into this world. (BT/AS)
