What’s the greatest lesson life has taught you?
To be independent and tough.

What’s most important?
For me, it’s my son. I only had one child.

Are you worried about dying?
No, I’m not. Sooner or later I will die.

When was the happiest time of your life?
When I was finally able to build my own house, with my own money.

And the worst?
When my son was very ill.

What’s humanity all about?
I think you can see what it’s all about here in Bali. We have a concept called Manyama Braya, which means we have a good and close relationship with each other.

Why are there so many conflicts in the world?
Because people cannot control their emotions.

Are you disappointed with your life or happy at what’s happened?

Well, it’s been a tough, hard life, and I’ve been sad at times.

How much has luck played in your life?

Not much.

How old do you feel?
I feel very old.

Is there anything you still want to do?
I wish I could write and read. I never went to school.

Is one lifetime enough?
No. I want be incarnated – and rich, of course! (BT/PO)
