Bali received the award of Island Destination of the Year on China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards 2013 conducted by two chinese famous travel magazines “TravelWeekly” and “Events”.
Bali received the award after getting the highest score from the judge team consisting of experts and observers on tourism industry in China, and the result of online votes done by Chinese people via the magazine websites.
On the vote, Bali is ahead of the other two candidates, namely Tahiti and Mauritius, as cited from the page of setkab.co.id on Friday.
The award gave out by the Chairman and President of Across China Communication Hersey Cao to the First Secretary of Economy Function Beijing Indonesian Embassy at Conrad Hotel, Beijing, china on Thursday (4/9).
Present on that occasion are representatives from tourism industry and media, including representatives from Indonesian Embassy at Beijing Visit Indonesian Tourism Office in Beijing.
The President Director of ‘Contineo Media’, Raymond Wong, who is the owner of ‘TravelWeekly’ stated that the purpose of giving out the annual award is to acnoeledge the best tourism industry and MICE practitioner so that they will be motivated more in developing those two industries and providing the best service to people.
Besides Bali, some places or institutions in tourism industry and MICE that got awards on ‘China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards 2013’ namely Le Royal Meridien Shanghai (Business Hotel of the Year), South Africa (Luxury MICE Destination of the Year), Australia (Golf Destination of the Year), Etihad (Airline of the Year First Class), Hong Kong (Meeting & Incentive Destination (Short Haul) of the Year), and Hangzhou (Meeting & Incentive City of the Year (Mainland China).
The China Travel & Meetings Industry Awards 2013 is an annual event held since 2002 by TravelWeekly, the prominent Chinese tourism magazine.
