I Dewa Budjana, musician and guitarist from Indonesia will build museum ‘Gitarku’ in the area of ??Ubud, Bali.

According to him, after a career as a guitar player more than 30 years, it began to think to pass on the value of music to the next generation in the field of music.

“This is a first museum of guitar in Indonesia and even  in Asia. This is an idea that comes from inspired the legendary musician both in Indonesia and in the world. The museum is not only to show off the guitar I’ve ever used, but also various other guitars with the story behind it, “he said in Nusa Dua.

He added that until now there are about 100 collections of guitars that are ready to display in the museum.

“The grand opening is planned to do next year but I do not know the time exactly. The guitar belonged to some legendary musicians Indonesia have also been registered and available,” he explained.

Besides guitarist Indonesia, he added, there are also the guitarist of the world on the list and will be handed their guitars to my guitar museum in Ubud later.

Some musicians of the world, such as, Mike Stern, Pat Metheny, Steve Vai, Allan Holdsworth, Bill Frisell, Mike Lukather, Ludwig Lemans, Robby Krieger, Michael Landau, Scot Henderson, Michael Angleo Batio, Aria Baron, and Guthrie Govan.

As for local musicians  like Ebiet G. Ade, Eros Candra, Rhoma Irama, Koes Plus, and others.

“Even a guitar of Nyoman Nuarta, Joko Pekik, Sunaryo, Srihadi Soeharsono, Agus Suwage, Erica Hestu Wahyuni, Teguh Ostenrikt, Midori Hirota, Nyoman Meja, Runi Palar and Gunarsa, “he said.

John McLaughlin, a legend of the guitar world, known as the pioneer of jazz guitar rock is present in Bali to participate complete collection of guitars in my guitar museum.

“I will also perform with John McLaughlin, Gary Husband, Ranjit Barot, and Etienne Mbappe which is part of the road to the museum of ‘Gitarku’ in Ubud.”
