Mercury changes direction now. It has been going backwards. Now it is moving forward once more. This may only be an optical illusion but it has great symbolic significance. Deals can be done. Arrangements, long held back, can fall into place. Where negotiations or plans have been stuck, they’re being freed off. And there’s a conjunction of Venus and Uranus too. That’s a promise of something exotic and unexpected. Perhaps the emergence of a secret admirer for some. A financial windfall for others. Or perhaps a sudden rush of creative inspiration. This looks set to be a good week.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
Happy New Rest Of Your Life! That is what today is – and every day of this week too. That, though, doesn’t devalue the notion. You have a chance to complete one process and commence another. You can put something down and pick something up. Don’t waste this potential on something as simplistic as a resolution. Set yourself an aspiration to aim for, slowly but surely. What matters is not whether you instantly alter anything but whether your intentions are now changed for good. Then you can make wonderful things happen.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
Some things look as if they may be about to start going wrong. Why worry about that? You have been on this planet for many years. You know, surely, how not everything turns out perfectly all the time. But even when things are not so good they are really not so bad. You are right to keep hoping for a big breakthrough, wrong to worry that, just because there will probably be a drawback of some kind, you may as well lower your sights. Keep them high! You are closer than you think to the kind of lasting change you deserve.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
There’s an old Indian story about three blind men encountering an elephant for the first time. One inspects the trunk and concludes that the beast is like a snake. The next finds a leg and decides he is in front of a tree. The third finds the tail and figures he is holding a rope. The moral? We all see life from a different perspective and we are all blind to some extent because none of us can fully grasp what is going on. Your view of a current situation is not the only view that can be taken. Trust what others are telling you this week.
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Leave too much to chance and you’ll make very little progress. But if, you make no allowance at all in your plans for the arrival of good luck, you may fail to recognise it when it turns up to volunteer its services. There’s a strong likelihood that you will be helped, in some unexpected way, soon. You’d be silly to rely on this possibility entirely – but you’d be equally silly to rule it out completely. Be careful, therefore, about how tightly you try to control your situation. A little chaos and spontaneity could well work in your favour.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
Oil doesn’t mix well with water. No matter how vigorously you shake the two together, they will separate as soon as you stop. You have been doing your best for some while – either to work with someone whose personality clashes with your own or to feel at home in an alien environment. Your best efforts to co-operate and coexist have not produced a permanent change – and that, really, should not be seen as a problem. What happened needed to happen. What’s happening now, is what needs to happen next.
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
The world, it seems, is full of people who think they know what’s best for you. Rather annoyingly, though, they don’t all agree with each other. Happily, this week, you can ignore all your would-be advisors. Your best way forward is about to make itself indisputably obvious. Circumstances will conspire to put you into a position from which a clear perspective is rapidly and dramatically attained. You’ll have an inspiring, if somewhat surprising, experience that decisively ends an argument and begins an adventure.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
It’s all going to start being a little different soon. You feel as if you have lately been going round in circles. Now you have the chance to make progress in a straight line. The trouble is, you are still staggering from all that rotation and you are dizzy. It’s going to take you a little while to regain your balance and sense of direction. But as soon as you can manage to stand still for a moment, you will realise that a shaky situation has stopped churning and turning. The further into the future we look, the more stable your outlook becomes.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December)
Nothing, ultimately, makes any sense. You can be as purposeful as you like, as efficient as possible. It doesn’t matter how much you achieve. One day, the game will be over. Then, only one question will be asked. It won’t be, “How much did you earn?” Or, “Did you pay your rent?” Nor will it be, “Did you obey all the rules?” Or, “Did you understand what was going on?” It will be, “Did you appreciate the magic and then do what you could to help others appreciate it too?” This week’s events get more confusing, the more you think about them. So don’t think about them, just enjoy them.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
You are not the person you used to be. You are wiser now, and more experienced. You understand a lot more than you did. You have a much wider frame of reference in which to place a particular matter. Don’t, then, allow yourself to be driven by force of habit. Don’t respond or react in a way that would once have been automatic. Draw on all that you have learned and trust the changes that you have gone through. Soon you will reach a truly pleasing and correct conclusion about what needs to happen next.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
None of us really know where we are going, because we don’t know where we have been. We arrive in this world with our memories wiped, like reconditioned computers, fresh from the workshop. We can relate only to what we can remember. We are interested only in the part of the future we think we can foresee. Something, this week, will remind you of how much more there is to life than a particular topic that has lately been absorbing so much of your energy. You’ll then see life from a higher perspective and you’ll feel far happier.
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
There are about seven billion people on this planet. All, to some extent, are following what they believe to be their own self-interest. No wonder there’s a shortage of compassion and co-operation. In one sensitive area of life, though, you now have a chance to act wisely and unselfishly. If you do, will you make yourself seem foolish in the eyes of others? Only if they are foolish! Act according to the best example you have ever been shown. Reach for the highest standard. Do what you know you can be proud of yourself for doing.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
“For every outside there is an inside, and for every inside there is an outside, and although they are different, they go together.” So said the writer and philosopher Alan Watts. The Sun may have left Aries, but Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus are all still in your sign. It is as if something, somewhere in your world, is being turned inside out. You’re under a lot of pressure – but that’s nothing to fear nor to resent. It’s a suggestion that first you must make a discovery, then you must understand it – and then you can profit, immensely.
