Forecasts for week beginning July 3, 2010.

By Jonathan Cainer

July brings a solar eclipse, a stationary Jupiter, a repeat of the Saturn/Uranus opposition, a conjunction of Mars and Saturn, and a right angle from Jupiter to Pluto. The long awaited T-square in the sky is coming to life in the sky. It’s a rare alignment of powerful planets. It speaks of revelation, awakening, discovery… and rediscovery. No matter what sign you are, you’ll find this an exceptional month. And if you hang on to your positivity, you’ll come out of July refreshed and re-inspired by all you’ve seen and all you now (rightly) believe to be possible.

CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” I’ve quoted Mother Teresa several times recently. She said some pretty cool things in her time but this is one of her best quotes. Read it again. Take it on board. Forget whatever else you think your zodiac forecast should say. That’s all you need to know. Most of us are so busy judging each other that we simply don’t notice how much of our energy and positivity this all eats up. Why would we want to love the folk that we disapprove of? Because we benefit so much more when we set about loving, than we do when we go around judging. If you want joy in July, just trust that!

LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Remember Singing in the Rain? What a joyous performance. What a dancer and performer Gene Kelly was. Legend has it that, on the day they filmed it, Kelly was sick with a high fever. He felt terrible the whole time. Am I suggesting that you, this month, may have to go through something as difficult and demanding? Not quite. But you may have to smile and look happy, even at times when you are down in the dumps. Have you got that in you? Oh yes. And more. You’ve got the power, in July, to rewrite a piece of your history and reshape the future you have been envisaging for yourself. And all you have to do is… your best!

VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
What’s big? What’s small? What’s crucial? What’s irrelevant? Discrimination only works well when there’s dispassion. If we are too emotionally involved in a situation, or we feel oppressed by seemingly impossible circumstances, we can’t tell what we really feel about anyone or anything. Saturn leaves your sign half way through July. This time, it’s not coming back… or at least not for another 28 years. Meanwhile Mars passes through Virgo. Your perspective on life is about to alter dramatically. Prepare to feel able, at last, to stand back from something you’ve been too close to and regain strength, faith and comfort.

LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
Are you weak or strong? This is a trick question. Read on carefully. The answer is no trick. It’s the key to understanding an important astrological change. During July, Saturn returns to your sign, this time to remain a powerful influence on your life for the next couple of years. You’re about to discover that what you see as a source of vulnerability is actually a tremendous asset… while steps that you have taken in the past in an attempt to protect yourself have actually put you at a distinct disadvantage. That may confuse you… but not for long. Soon what you’ll mainly experience is tremendous strength, clarity… and power.

SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
They say, “What we don’t know can’t harm us.” That’s not necessarily true. If we don’t know that we don’t know something, we can be deceived. If we do know that there is something we don’t know, we can be alert to the possibility of a discovery. It is becoming clear that you don’t have the full picture about someone or something. Information is either being withheld from you or new information is cropping up and you don’t yet understand what it means. In July, keep your eyes and ears open, ask as many questions as you can, but don’t worry. All you need to know is that what you need to know… you’ll soon know!

SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
Judy Garland has a lot to answer for. Ever since her appearance in The Wizard of Oz, people have been wistfully singing to themselves, “Somewhere over the rainbow” – this has planted a misleading aspiration in the minds of millions. We all imagine that the utopia we seek, the idyll we desire, even the great escape we dream of lies over the rainbow, not under it. Yet this earth is our paradise. This whole world is our potential heaven. All we have to do is be less resentful of the problems life poses to us, and more grateful to the gifts it brings us. Hang out a little food for the bluebirds to fly to in July.

CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
People say, “I’m on a diet.” So they skip supper. Then, later, when nobody is looking, they raid the refrigerator. Other people say, “This is what I believe in. Here’s what I believe to be right and here’s what I think is wrong.” Their actions, though, do not always support their fine, principled words. What am I getting at? Well, there’s no need to be defensive. Of the many folk on this planet, you are amongst the most straightforward and self-aware. But, er… in one particular area of life this month, you might just be kidding yourself a little. Better to identify an inconsistency and make an honest allowance for it than to live in denial!

AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
Great movie-makers know how to lull their audience into a false sense of security. They get us thinking that we know what’s going to happen next. Then, suddenly, they surprise us. There are some who say that the entire universe is one great film set. The cameras may be hidden but they catch every move we make. Whether or not you believe there is also a director, sitting in some heavenly chair, there is certainly a drama playing out in your life now. The outcome of an ongoing saga in July may not match your expectation, but if you stand back and look at what it’s leading to, you will find that you’re glad of what you got into.

PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
What would you do if you won the lottery? What would you walk away from? Who would you leave behind? Given all the freedom you could ever get, what would you voluntarily retain? I’m not asking this because it’s likely. I’m suggesting that you now ask the same questions about a certain other person. What would they do? It may not be quite what you would do, but whatever it is – or isn’t – you need to know. That will tell you all you need to know about what they really feel and how much you can rely on them. If you really want to know where to place your trust, begin by trusting what you feel in your heart of hearts.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
We all want to be law-abiding citizens. Well, almost all. Even those who don’t find it useful to know what the law says, if only so they can have a better idea of how to break it! None of us, though, know exactly what the law says about everything. Even top judges and lawyers have to look things up in books. As with the law of the land, so with the law of the cosmos. You think you know what’s “allowable” and what’s not in your life? But since Jupiter and Uranus arrived in your sign, nothing has been certain. This month, that uncertainty begins to work dramatically in your favour. Don’t rule anything out… unless it’s a fear!

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
You can easily look at what’s happening in your life now and decide it ought to be very different. Or, you can look at the same circumstances and decide that they are perfect, just as they are. What does this tell you? It tells you that opinions and expectations are vital. That’s good. After all, it is usually much easier to alter an attitude than to change a situation. Rarely have the planets been so powerfully aligned. They’re a favourable influence now for anyone who is willing to reach within for strength, insight, guidance and inspiration. In July, what you believe to be true will turn out to be true. So believe only good things.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
The tunnel is long and dark. You have been edging through it for some while. Ahead of you, in July, there’s a light. But what if it turns out not to be a shaft of sunlight but fire from the mouth of a dragon that guards the exit? What if you must conquer this monster before you can escape? Then rest assured. You have a dragon-defeating sword at your side, a beast-banishing spell in your pocket. Or to put it another way, once you overcome a fear this month, you’ll find you are well equipped to handle whatever you face. Expect an event that may prove briefly stressful but will ultimately be liberating and inspiring.
