By Jonathan Cainer
Saturn and Venus have both been retrograde for some while. This week, they both change direction. There’s always a distinctly discernible change of atmosphere at times like this. It is as if, instinctively, we sense that the brakes are coming off, the restrictions are lifting and the opportunities are starting to arise once more. Mercury, meanwhile, moves on into a new sector of the sky. This too, can be intepreted as an energy boost for the world. If you’re feeling frustrated by recent lack of progress in a key enterprise or endeavour, expect things to move on pleasingly soon.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
Aren’t you tired of making sacrifices? Don’t you feel as if, in life’s great game of give and take, you are somehow having to do far too much of the giving? And who is doing all the taking? How come they are able to get away with that? Isn’t it time for a shift in the balance of power? Well, it almost is! That moment is coming but it is not yet here. I understand how frustrating it must be for someone of your disposition to be told that they have to be patient. But do your best. You really won’t have to be patient for too much longer.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
They say that money doesn’t grow on trees. But money is printed on paper and paper comes from trees. Fruits grow on trees, too, and these are often sold for a significant profit. The fact is, that money definitely comes from somewhere and some people, in this world, have a knack for ensuring that they stay close to a reliable source of the stuff. I mention all this because you are now in a surprisingly good position to improve your own level of worldly wealth. Look for opportunities this week, and you will yet find them.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
How is your great adventure going? Do you feel as if you have set sail towards an exciting new destination? Or do you fear you are lost at sea with the shore of a previous certainty slipping ever further away into the distance? You really need to trust that the right things are happening for the right reasons. Even if you face difficulties, these are only temporary challenges that you can easily rise to. Events, this week, will do much to reassure you and strengthen your sense of purpose. Work on the assumption that all is well. It is!
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
As Mercury now leaves your sign, you find yourself full of ideas and hopes. You are keen to pursue them but you are not really sure how feasible they are. You suspect that you have been somewhat unrealistic in some of your recent plans and assumptions. You wonder if you ought to draw back from an investment or a commitment. Don’t be quite so readily willing to give up. Soon you will rediscover your enthusiasm for a project or a proposition. You will also be offered much assistance with taking it to the next stage.
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Years ago, someone wrote a self-help book called, Everything Is Negotiable. Even those who didn’t read it somehow picked up on the idea. These days, we seem to have forgotten this. We imagine that we are surrounded by situations we can’t change, attitudes we can’t alter and circumstances that we simply must expect. Mercury now moves into your sign and Mercury is the great cosmic negotiator. You are being blessed with the ability to persuade almost anyone of almost anything now. Use that power wisely.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
Just before you read this forecast, would you be kind enough to clean my shoes? Oh, and I’ve left some washing-up in the sink. You don’t mind taking care of it for me, do you? Er… I’m joking, of course. But I rather fear someone else in your world is now a bit too prone to taking advantage of you in ways like this. You must now balance your natural desire to be helpful, with your divine entitlement to protect yourself. This week, if you just do what you feel inspired to do, not what you feel obliged to do, everything will come out right.
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
Ever since the recent transit of Venus, the planet that rules your sign has been exuding a little extra power. That’s why you have had more energy than usual and why, even now, you feel as if there is so much that you want to do. But just before you throw yourself too wholeheartedly into any plan or project this week, consider the possibility that you may be chasing yesterday’s rainbow or fulfilling a promise that is really no longer so necessary or relevant. It is time to swap an old belief for a new faith.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
We all want the ship of our life to be a comfortable ocean-going liner, well equipped and capable of travelling far. We don’t like it so much when we find that our captaincy largely involves sheltering from fierce storms, patching up leaks and negotiating terrifyingly large waves. Right now, most of your energy is focused on survival. But later this week, that should change. A tempest will die down, the ocean will become calm and you will enjoy a much-needed chance to relax into the deckchair of calm reassurance.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
You can make as many mistakes as you like this week, just as long as you get one thing right. Only one situation really matters, only one challenge must be risen to. Ah, but is it the one that now seems most obvious to you? Or is that just a dangerous distraction from the true priority? Here is how to tell. If it involves pursuing your most exciting aspiration, it is the appropriate thing to be doing. If it is making you cross, anxious or somewhat fearful, it is an irrelevance and you really won’t be making a mistake if you ignore it.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
Saturn, your ruler, has been retrograde for some while. This week, it appears to stand still in the sky for a while, just before it moves off in the right direction once more. There. That’s all the analogy you need. You, somehow, are stopping for a while and standing still. You are reviewing a plan, policy or commitment. You are reserving your right to change your mind about this and to head off into the future along a somewhat different path. Don’t feel obliged to stick with what you have started. It may no longer be appropriate.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
This week, the lid comes off the bottle. For a long time now, you have been holding something back or keeping something under wraps. It may be a secret feeling. It may even be an emotion so real and so raw that you have been unable to acknowledge its existence, even to yourself. You may feel upset or angry but really, you should be celebrating. You have tracked down the root cause of a problem – and, finally, you are in a position to deal with this constructively. Be glad of what is coming to the surface.
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
Sometimes, little things seem to mean a lot. Usually, though, that’s when, somehow, they are pointing us towards bigger things. When we can’t see what’s really wrong, we notice some small symptom of a problem and get cross about that. Then, suddenly, it becomes clear to us, ‘Aha! That’s not the issue. This other thing is the real source of the trouble!’ Jupiter’s square to Neptune is about to provide you with just such an intense revelation. It will also soon show you the very best thing you can do about this.
