This week’s Full Moon is unusual. The Sun is now forming a conjunction to Venus, Mars and Uranus. And though astronomers don’t care so much for Pluto these days, it still means a lot to astrologers. We’re excited because the Full Moon forms a right angle to this celestial body. But some of us may be getting too excited. One of my colleagues has called it a Monster Moon. I keep getting emails from her readers, asking if I agree with her prophecies of doom. I don’t. It will be an intense week but not a bad one for anyone!
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
In the world of comedy entertainment, there’s a long tradition of the lone, innocent, loveable figure, pitted against a dark, harsh world, armed only with his optimism and shielded only by naivety. But when we find ourselves playing such a role in daily life, it’s rarely so amusing. Yet this week, as Mars continues to pass through your sign, you should find that even where your life has lately resembled a comedy of errors, you are about to find that somehow, you are going to end up getting the last laugh.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family. Well, you can try, perhaps. Many of us do. We make a special fuss of some relatives and do our best to keep others at bay. But still, we must accept that particular individuals are connected to us, regardless of how much we may or may not like this or even accept the importance of genetic and hereditary lineage. Something in your home or family life has been making you unhappy lately. Coming events will help you to feel somewhat happier.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
Good people don’t always have good experiences. And bad guys aren’t automatically punished immediately for their transgressions. Natural justice usually takes time and often shows great subtlety in the way it carries itself out. Some people don’t feel able to trust that and prefer more conventional forms of judgement and reward. They don’t understand why those with kind hearts sometimes have hard times. Nor do you but this week, at least, that’s not the case. For you, something very right is about to occur.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
Why search for meaning in a world full of madness? Why plot and plan when everything is subject to sudden change? These are good questions and they have good answers. We must do all this because we cannot function without at least a little structure, even if it is only temporary. You now suspect that you do not know the full story about a situation. You are right. There is much more to discover. The information you have, though, is sufficient for the time being. Trust it and be more relaxed. All will work out fine.
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Where would you rather have your problems? Festering away like rotting fruit in dark corners of your world or clearly laid out before you where they can be systematically fixed? It’s easy to give a glib answer but when we face issues that make us uncomfortable, we tend to deny that there’s anything to discuss. We focus on trivial concerns and ignore deeper factors that are really bothering us. You now need to look at what you truly feel. First, though, you this week, you may need to be honest with yourself.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
Actions have consequences. Plans have implications. It’s a shame really. If only they didn’t, we could get an awful lot more done, a whole lot faster. Unfortunately, we cannot ignore the complicated nature of reality. Such links and connections have to be understood. Er, are you bored yet? Falling asleep? I know I’m not saying anything that you don’t already know. You are naturally practical. This week, though, there’s not much point in thinking everything through sensibly. You’ve simply got to follow your heart.
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
There is no law that says you have to do things the hard way. You may feel that if you have really earned a reward, it means more than if you have merely struck lucky. The universe, though, is not always so fascinated by the traditional work ethic. The cosmos gives freely. It plants abundance. Sometimes, it yields its fruits only after consistent, persistent, effort but sometimes, like a tree in an orchard in autumn, it just bestows its bounty on whoever happens to walk beneath its boughs. Trust that this week.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
The world is full of solutions to problems which do not yet exist. Insurance companies thrive on such things. ‘Ah, yes,’ the salespeople say, ‘but what if this happens… or that?’ Lawyers make similar points when advising their clients to guard against unspeakably depressing developments in a hypothetical future. What are you worrying about? How likely is it? Use your imagination more creatively. Find an answer, this week, to a question that’s relevant right here and now. And then let inspiration drive away fear.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
What do you want to be? Your own worst enemy or your own best friend? You have the potential to be either. You can even be both! You at least need to know, though, what your relationship with yourself really is. You should also be aware that, whilst our relationships with others are notoriously difficult to change, it is much easier to alter our relationship with ourselves. We don’t have to pretend to be what we are not. You’re going through a set of inner changes now that can only bring deeply positive results.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
What did people do back in the good old days? They used to sit around wishing that they were back in what, to them, were the good old days! Adam and Eve were the only human beings who never sat around getting all nostalgic, so God gave them a serpent to talk to instead. It served much the same purpose. It led them away from the holy grail of all existence: the joy of being in the here and now. Don’t wallow in the muddy pool of yesteryear this week. Drink from the sweet fountain of faith in the future.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
Perhaps because this world is so wide and overwhelming, we subconsciously strive to do whatever we can to shrink it for ourselves. We fall into reassuring patterns of behaviour. We move in the same old circles, we travel to and from the same places. We play out familiar roles, eat familiar foods, even dream familiar dreams. Yet you are now looking at a new horizon. It’s inspiring in one way, worrying in another. You could soon be doing something very, very different. And it is entirely possible that you yet will be.
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
Some people love to take machines to pieces to find out how they work. That’s fine until they try to put them back together again. Some people take a similar approach towards relationships. Some processes are best left mysterious. Some arrangements thrive as long as they are not deconstructed. There’s an old saying, ‘If it ain’t broke don’t fix it’. But that doesn’t apply now, because something is definitely not working. You have to fix it, but you need not make it the sole focus of your thoughts. Just give it more of your heart,
