Whenever Mars forms a right angle to Neptune, we get a new sense of what’s possible. At first, we aren’t sure whether we are imagining it… until we realise we’re being guided towards something important, even urgent. We have to draw on our intuition. We must go beyond the pedantic logic that normally stifles our enthusiasm and litters our path to progress with ‘sensible considerations’. Retrograde Mercury now supports this alignment by conjoining Mars and squaring Neptune too. That’s nothing to fear. Just a call to action, an exhortation to be creative, an invitation to turn dreams into realities.
ARIES (March 21 – April 20)
Mars, your ruler, now forms a conjunction to Mercury and a right angle to Neptune. It is as if your guardian angel is about to set off in search of something you need. Your protective spirit must somehow visit tricky, almost forbidden territory to accomplish this. No sooner have they donned a disguise and slipped over the threshold that leads them into this awkward area, than they get arrested and thrown into a form of heavenly jail. Will they escape and return? You bet. But you may have to show a bit of patience first.
TAURUS (April 21 – May 21)
If I pass you an old bracelet can you tell us something about the person who used to wear it? If I think of a triangle, can you tell us whether I am thinking of a square, a cross or a triangle? Oh no, that’s not right. Psychics must be so careful not to confuse what they can detect through logic and observation with the existence of some genuine extra-sensory gift. But that doesn’t mean that such gifts don’t exist. This week’s square from Venus to Uranus awakens your deepest intuition and you make a set of deeply wise choices.
GEMINI (May 22 – June 22)
Mars joins Mercury in your sign, heralding a positive new development in your life. Here is a real chance to make progress, even if this is a period when your ruler is in one of its brief retrograde phases. Even if something is slowing down, even if you are struggling with some disappointing difficulty or delay, you are being supported too. A strong, favourable influence will either take the form of a helpful individual or a set of surprisingly fortuitous circumstances. Either way, you look set to gain far more than you can lose.
CANCER (June 23 – July 23)
What kind of a world is this? How badly organised it seems to be. Why is there so much injustice? It is almost as if people go out of their way to make life difficult for themselves – and for others. Can one brave, compassionate individual really hope to right such a multitude of wrongs? I guess we are about to find out, for you are now taking a big responsibility on your shoulders. Under the helpful and inspiring influence of this week’s waxing Moon, you may yet make better progress than the many pessimists expect.
LEO (July 24 – August 23)
Doesn’t anybody ever listen to a word you say? Do cartels of critics conspire to thwart your every ambition and undermine what authority you have worked so hard to attain? Is there any point in you investing so much effort on your own personal path to progress, when it seems as if it is being deliberately strewn with stumbling blocks? Your sense of outrage is understandable, but don’t hold it too close to your heart this week, for the cosmos does not intend to subject you to much more ignominy. Expect better. You may yet get it.
VIRGO (August 24 – September 23)
You may fear that you are travelling further than you might like up the kind of creek that you would far prefer to avoid. But at least you’ve got a paddle. And this is no ordinary propelling mechanism. This is Mars conjunct your ruler, a turbo-charged engine, firmly attached to the sturdiest possible oar. Now there is a risk that with Mercury retrograde, your means of retreat and escape could temporarily stir up more of that creek’s undesirable content. But even if so, you will be back in freshwater sooner than you think.
LIBRA (September 24 – October 23)
Our dreams don’t always come true. But that’s no reason to deprive ourselves of the pleasure we get from imagining that perhaps, one day, they may. All would agree that we are entitled to our fancies, as long as we don’t allow these to loosen our grip on reality. That’s why many compartmentalise their yearnings and longings. They put them in a kind of psychological quarantine so that they cannot pollute their sense of pragmatism. Yet what if some of those dreams actually could come true? Some of yours could, this week.
SCORPIO (October 24 – November 22)
Sorry. This forecast is not for you. Please stop reading it. No, really. You don’t have permission. Well, of course, you do. I’m only joking. But I am also trying to highlight a sense of exclusion which you have already begun to encounter recently, and which may get worse before it begins to get better later this week. Knock-backs, setbacks, objections and rejections are an all-too-common experience in all our lives. But we make these far worse for ourselves when we take them too seriously. Make light of yours this week.
SAGITTARIUS (November 23 – December 21)
You are a happy-go-lucky, easy living, affable and amenable Sagittarius. So you don’t have opponents. But imagine, for a moment, if you did. This week, you might begin to suspect that all your enemies had become one another’s friends. It might seem as if you were being ganged up on by adverse circumstances and hostile critics. What could you do to counter that? Seek the support of your true allies. Draw closer to those who can help you if you help them. Not that you would need such a policy. But, if you did…
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 20)
You can’t just turn to the last line of this forecast in an effort to find out what it contains because you are in such a hurry. You may be under pressure this week. There could be much that urgently requires your energy and attention. I understand that you feel you have no time to waste and that it is thus justifiable to cut corners. But that’s actually all the more reason to pay attention to detail. If you are too hasty, you may end up going round in circles. Now, please go back to our opening words and consider them again.
AQUARIUS (January 21 – February 19)
Many turn to their zodiac forecast in search of a little apposite advice to get them through the week. Yet you now, are hardly short of helpful suggestions. Everyone, it seems, has an idea about what you ought to be doing, how you ought to be doing it or whether, instead of this, you ought to be doing that, instead. They can’t all be right, can they? Yet where, normally, you might feel so sure of your own opinion that you could hardly hear those other voices, recent events have made you doubt yourself. Stop doing that this week!
PISCES (February 20 – March 20)
The magic porridge pot isn’t quite so useful if it only turns out a constant stream of oats. These must be mixed with water if they are to be digested. The horn of plenty is only as helpful as whatever it is that it happens to be providing plenty of. Even a source of potentially endless wealth is of little value to a person whose prime objective is health or emotional wellbeing. Life is generously giving you something this week but is it giving you what you want? Look for a way to make the most of what you have got.
